That is why we want to emphasize an urbanization that has a lot to offer. We want to tell you a bit about Cerros del Aguila.
Located approximately 7-minute drive from the center of Fuengirola, it is close enough to go for a walk on the seafront, yet far enough away to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and the sound of birds chirping.
There is easy access to the motorway and approximately a 25 – 30 minute drive to the airport, or access to public transport from the entrance of Cerros del Aguila.
Although the urbanization is older, it is very beautiful, charming and well maintained. In addition to our office, there are two cafes, a restaurant overlooking the large communal garden with a pool and a tennis court, as well as a minimarket.
ACTIVITIES DURING COVID-19?
Living in and around the area of Cerros del Aguila, you have plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities!
There is quick access to the campo, where you can find bike paths, hiking trails, motocross routes and in general just great options for the enjoyment of nature.
Naturally, we cannot forget to mention GOLF! Only a 2-minute drive away is our own Cerrado de Aguila Golf. Of course, is also El Chaparral Golf, Mijas Golf and Santana golf in the near vicinity.
With great golf, comes great responsibility. Therefore, Cerrado de Aguila Golf & Resort Club has been recently updated, which currently includes a great hairdresser, excellent restaurant and a brand-new gym.
Last, but not least, there are numerous horse stables around the area, with great options for beautiful rides in the streets, along rivers and in the countryside.
NEW 350,000m2 PARK
An advantage not just has a homeowner in Cerros del Aguila, but also as a potential buyer, is that the municipality of Mijas has allocated a large piece of land next to the urbanization to build the province’s (Malaga) largest park.
Real estate agent Peter Kaarsberg believes, “the park is a good new initiative with nature and recreational opportunities, which will definitely have a positive influence on the property market in the area.”
Mijas municipality says that this park is one of their most important projects in recent times, and it will be larger than the “Paloma Park” in Benalmadena. An amount of 20 million euros has been set aside for the park, which is expected to be ready in 2023.

In the months after Covid-19 set its mark on the world, and caused worldwide travel restrictions, some property owners have not been able to visit their home on the coast.

It naturally benefits our clients in and around the Cerros del Aguila that our office is “just around the corner”, which means that on top of the routinely home inspections, we regularly drive past their properties when we move about the area.
Usually, we do checkups 1 or 2 times a month, where we; empty mailboxes, flush toilets, check windows / doors are securely closed, and when we leave, we send an update, including videos or images. Additional wishes can be arranged.
