Brand new park coming to Costa del Sol
The large area of nature between Cerros del Águila and Fuengirola will, in February 2025, be redone entirely into an immense park with countless activities to enjoy. The early preparations and excavations have begun, with 15% of the first phase already completed states the Mijas Mayor, Josele González. It is estimated to take around 18 months to complete.
Some of the early photos of the plans show that there will be a massive artificial lake, which allows small boats to sail in. Plenty of different sports activities will be available, as well as running and biking lanes, a big skatepark and a large open-air amphitheatre.
The park is estimated to be as large as 36 hectares, will include up to 20.000 plants, and will definitely add value to the already well-decorated surroundings of Cerros del Águila and Fuengirola.
The large amphitheatre in the park can hold up to 1,900 people, where there will be concerts, theatre performances and much more.
Another addition to the park is that your pets are very welcome. There will be specific areas of the park where pets can mingle and enjoy the facilities.
There will also be children’s areas, with playgrounds and seating areas for the adults.
With limitless activities to enjoy such as a grand concert hall and plenty of different walking tracks, this park will be a great addition to the Costa Del Sol and will offer different aspects of entertainment on the coast.
